Cut Simon and he’ll bleed WordPress! The first Bristolian on our team, Simon started out things in our Bristol office and it’s safe to say he’s a WordPress legend. He joined us in early 2020 after a long career with brands and agencies in the UK, working on some high-scale enterprise WordPress websites.
Simon organised WordCamp Bristol in 2019 and is involved in running the WordPress Meetups in Bristol on a monthly basis. This sort of involvement, experience and insight into the WordPress community is what makes him a perfect fit at Illustrate Digital as we focus on our growth over the coming months and years.
As part of our WordPress development team and specialising in PHP back-end, his WordPress knowledge is strong, making a great addition to the already strong team of platform experts. Unsurprisingly, you’ll normally find him focussed on code, troubleshooting and producing intuitive back-end functionality.
Alongside his passion for clean, well-commented code, Simon has a big heart for creating great communities that allow people to learn. He also loves music – especially in vinyl form, good beers and spending time with his wife (not necessarily in that order)!
